Funny thread.
Im a Mac guy overal.
But I do have to agree that its a "Sand Boxed" system and limited with what it can do if your a programmer or if your into serious customization.
But for me; I edit video, edit pics, do graphics, run my businesses, check emails, check GFY, etc.
I am the guy that pays for my programs, when I can easily get them hacked. But at the same time when I'm working on long time consuming projects, my Macs don't crash and always turn on. For me thats worth the over priced, inflated bullshit price I pay. That is also the same reason I pay for my programs. They are constantly getting updated and the don't crash.
I know I over pay and it sucks, but then again when I turn any of my Macs on, they work and I go straight to work.
Love my laptops, love my iMac, but I used to build out my PCs way back when, and the next Machine I buy, will probably be custom built running Mac OSX.
I think the fact Mac is "Sand Boxed" is a double edge sword. You get the reliability with its customization limitations, and the damn thing always works.
I think the root of the Mac vs. PC is: Mac Limitations, Vs. Solid reliability and PC's limitless customizations vs. Reliability issues.
PCs are for people that love the limitless customization, programers, people who hate Mac(Lack of costomazation), Nice specs for the buck, and people looking for a deal.
Mac are for Newbies, people that who hate and have had bad experiences with PCs, People absolutely need their machine to work when turned on, people who value reliability over Specs+and price, Girls and guys that like pretty things, Latte drinkers and a few others that slip my mind.
Me I personally fall into the "I need my shit to work when I turn it on".
I value reliability over Specs, price, customization and I also drink Lattes. lol
