Ok so you're one valid comment of watching which you should have said tailing the access log does make sense. but that can be easily done with a nice little perl, bash or whatever else script where it will tail the access log and output the results to a webpage which you can browse in real time. To confirm that this is real and not some fake "re-cating" of a log file you would access the site, copy the current text from the webpage displaying the log file and see if your access appears.
Now since you requested small TGPs and said you would do a closer check on larger TGPs you kind of shot yourself in the foot. But in any case please do explain what you would do upon a closer inspection?
I do have a TGP I was thinking of unloading.
