I saw a clip once of Whoopi Goldberg talking about a skin whitening cream commercial shown in Korea where very white and non-sun damaged skin is highly prized. It seemed she took offense that the advertisement claimed that you would look whiter by using it. She seemed to think the makers intended to use "white" in terms of race, rather than the actual intention which is basically protecting skin. So this would be another example of the problem being with those who find a problem with it.
