Without sounding like Im knocking you guys, I'd rethink the circular badge idea. It works for BMW because they've only got three letter for people to read! 8)
Imagine, if you're thinking branding, you need it to be instantly readable, and instantly recognisable.
I'd use a simpler version of the paw (without the lips or girl) on the side, in one spot colour, then use horizontal text next to it in white, or other plain colour.
