These 'studies' are always amusing. They never take things into account like diet, types of exercise, stress and all the other things that are far more relevant. But if you make a picture based diagram and plaster it all over facebook it becomes fact some how.

My grandfather had a desk job for over 30 years of his life, spent his retirement sitting a whole lot more--lived to 86 despite having a drinking problem for a lot of those years. My mother has been at a desk for at least 45 years now and she still works to this day. To be honest neither of them really took care of themselves as well as they should but there they are living strong despite all the deadly sitting. I have a feeling they aren't the only ones surviving this horrible disease...

go for a walk, get some fresh air and lose the stress and you will be living long and sitting too.


oh i should add. Have you ever worked in a factory having to stand all day? I have.. that's hard on the body.
