Flickr has tons of images that you can use on your blogs, many of them free. Not sure if you are going to find good ones in pro sports, but worth a try.
Make sure you search by licensing terms to get the ones that you want and also, you need to post a link back to the terms and the image owner link (not so sure about this one), again read the terms of the image.
