The Macbook Pro's are bigger and more expensive, and have faster CPU's so they are better suited for video & rendering I think. If you don't think you need this, save your money and go for the Macbook Air. I have one myself and love it.

I disagree. I have had Air's since day 1. I'm a product guy, so I am doing all the above that you mention and the memory pings out. You need a Macbook Pro if you want to feel like you're driving a Ferrari work station at the office. I gave my Air to my GF so she can go on Facebook with it. I wouldn't want to use an Air for work ever again. They're still good machines, just not suited for web mastering duties. I would tell any traveling sales person or equivalent to get one though. Great for email and just general browsing the web, etc.
