And don't be real surprised to have your insurance dropped. If they call and 'ask' tell them the truth or your guilty of attempt to defraud an insurance company and they are reallll serious about that anymore. They check that alot more often then you think. They pay a monthly fee in most states to access, not a per access fee.
Tell them upfront and the reason WHY you got the ticket and you would get off with a small increase (or maybe nothing since you weer in unfamiliar territory and it was your first time)

I'm gonna go fight it, now that I think of it, he acted polite but now im thinking he was an asshole. He specifically told me it was 35, and wrote it out for 30, so if it turns out that it was 35, then I think he did it on purpose. That leaves me with the feeling that maybe he inflated my speeding as well, to 53 from 48-50, etc. After that, I told him I never even saw any signs (i'm pretty observant about that type of stuff), he promptly responded that there were 3 coming down the road, I just thought the answer was a little too quick, since I was only on the road for a half mile... He ended up pulling me over on a completely different road, I had to ask him where this other road was..., and I really feel like he could've given me a warnign. He fucking knew I was out of town and not familiar with the roads..
Either way, if I find out the speed limit was 35, i think something is off, since he specifically told me it was 35. If it turns out it is 30, then I'll know he was honest..
