Look at other pipelines in the US that have been abandoned and what has happened to the land owners whose families owned the land before, during and after the functional life of a pipeline. The companies that put them in doesn't just rip them up and clean up the mess.

We are passed the tipping point by most estimates.

It produces 17% more greenhouse gases then normal oil. Why not capture some of the economics of that?
