Yea, what someone said back there is true. Go to court, and if the cop did not show up, you get off.

I don't know if this helps, but I was caught running a red light(tecnically yellow but red when I was underneath), and the cop gave me a warning, since I have one of those "support state trooper" sticker on the back of my car.

Also, if you have money, you can never get a speeding ticket. My sister went 95 on a 55 highway once. She was so scared of the increasing insurance premium, she paid a lawyer, and got off scott free. Oh, what money can do for the system.
I have money, i just dont think its worth it - i think i got lucky that it was out of state, and if I go fight it, and cut a deal with the prosecutor, i'll hope he gives me zero points, and reduces it..

My father used to do community work, and through it knew the local police chief. The police chief gave him a special card - it wasnt a PBA card, you cant buy this card, you have to know a policeman high up (my town is ~30k strong). For years my dad got pulled over at least 2 times a year, and never got a ticket, not even a warning.

It also worked out of state, he was in NYC, got pulled over with 3 other cars in a speed trap, my dad showed him the card, the officer told him to keep it below the window, and let him off while giving the others tickets...

it really was a get out of jail free card.
