I think you're pretty safe if your terms of service mention that you are not liable for the profiles. Besides that - they also would need to prove YOU setup the fake profiles too, and that would be hard to do sans access to the site's code...
There's also the question of what responsibility you have to adhere the will of any foreign "international consumer protection department".
