It is also
action that cycles. With the systematic decline of the middle class in America there has been a decline in sustained protests. In the Sixties the protests were relentless and constant. Now? People take a day or three off from work, protest to 'make a statement' then go right back to the status quo. Corporations and the Gov't now know that if anyone DOES protest or try to resist it is merely the equivalent of blowing off steam, not seeking any real change.
We are all fucked so let's all just lay down and do whatever The Man tells us to do. Let's face it: the Hippies LOST. They gave up when Vietnam was over and danced in discos high on coke instead of solidifying any real change in this country. And now that their Generation is in power and controlling everything? Hehehe....we are all fucked.
