This is a breakout in a disruptive technology.
This research has been going on for 15 years and in another 15 years this technology may replace fossil fuels in many applications.
Right now, these Mirai Toyota's will sell for $57.5K but there are few fueling stations. Finding a cheap way of converting water into hydrogen and oxygen atoms is the next step. The emissions of oxygen in this process will change the carbon dioxide imbalance problem when (and if) hydrogen can become the primary fuel for generating cleaner energy and locomotion ... when the process can reach a critical mass.
