I'm not a fan of it either.

There have been some kinda recent modifications made. Notice the horrible tag system is now gone though?

It's nice to see AVN trying to add features to the forum but it's even nicer that they're paying attention to the feedback from threads like this and getting rid of the lesser preferred mods.
