the thing is though, both of those events are unlikely to occur together. when companies fold peeps are left holding the bag, and in the case of Zombaio those peeps would be the webmasters who are owed funds they rightfully earned. I know you've had a really unpleasant history with Zombaio but truth is, if you want the company to fold you're basically hoping that a whole bunch of peeps get ripped off.

that's a pretty risky proposition at this point imho

Zomabio has let several deadlines for getting back on track come and go with nothing but apologies and further promises.

As I wrote above I want Z to get through this, and if at some point they stabilize, pay everyone what is owed and maintain a strong record of doing so for a significant time period I'd consider adding them back in to my cascade. That said, the only reason I'm not owed as much as the rest of the peeps here is that the gfy 'warning system' worked for me and I found other options back when I was still getting paid. As a result I'm only owed hundreds instead of thousands.

My rationale was this: I don't want to be part of a select group that are paid in a timely manner, I want to work with companies that honor their commitments to ALL their merchants and make serious efforts to engage in ongoing communication when those commitments falter.

Every unpaid merchant should be as much of a priority as those who are continuing to send new business. To send new customers in the midst of this mess (it appears nothing much has changed except for a new admin and perhaps a change of ownership) could very well be a case of throwing good $$$$ after bad. That goes double for merchants who offer rebilling to their clients. Sure, everything could turn out ok, but there doesn't appear to be much cause for faith right now, kwim?

I'm with Eschaton in hoping that Zombaio survives this, but I question the logic of peeps sending them more $$$$ they wouldn't otherwise in the hopes of receiving what they're owed. At some point Z will either get their ish together and get caught up, or they will fold and a whole lotta people will be out some serious cash. I do hope it's the former, but since I can't run my business on a 'fingers crossed' wish for the best I'll stay on the sidelines for now and watch how things play out.

wising everyone the best of luck in getting paid.
