But it makes for a nice story when you want to excuse an entire race of peoples' problems which are in the year 2014 100% self created. Anyone can go to school. Anyone can work hard. Anyone can become a doctor, lawyer, CPA etc etc etc. Anyone can choose not to commit crimes. Anyone can choose not to break the law. Anyone can choose not to start yelling at the cop who is asking to see your drivers license. This nation is full of people who come here with nothing, work hard, save and grow. This nation is also full of jackoffs with their pants around their knees that genuinely believe they are going to be rappers so they don't need to be worryin' about readin' n' shit.

Life is about choices. The vast majority of black people do just fine. Those that don't... tend to blame white people. Terrible terrible terrible white people. Funny how all this EXTREME racism is never mentioned by Mexicans or Pakistanis or Indians or Vietnamese or Japanese or Chinese or anyone else that just wants to work hard and provide a better life for their children. They just quietly go about doing just that and for some reason didn't feel the need to go to the Million Man March. They were likely busy working that day.
And how is the sum of what you are saying not an indictment of people either? There are plenty of ignorant, criminal, freeloading whites, why not discuss them in the same context? Are you saying that whites don't blame blacks for social ills en masse? This wouldn't even exist as a thread if that were not the case. Even white ignorant criminal morons get a living on reality tv in a racist reality.

The late great James Brown, black from head to toe and front to back, would agree with what you are saying and I don't disagree either. What needs to be acknowledged is there is still a steeper climb for those of a certain race or nationality. Mexicans in general I think are one of the hardest working nationalities I have experienced in my life but for some reason there is a stereotype to the opposite. The goal of racism and bigotry is just about power and control. Those in the position of authority have a vested interest in preserving that status quo through economic advantage. I mean how freaking archaic and ridiculous is it that in this day and age we are still even talking about things in terms of the color of one's skin at all?
