I just bought my gf an iPad Air 1 off of Amazon for $355 (including shipping and everything). $378 with prime but it was new and I can wait a couple days to save $20 being out of town.
I'm sure you can snag them up for $299 or around there but I'm not surprised people will spend a few hours or more to save that last $20-50.
