I mean nobody is forcing them to apply for the job that does not offer their preferred schedule. Go work a job that does have holidays off. As if somebody is dumb enough to not know that if you apply for a job at companies that work on holidays you may be scheduled to work on some of those days.
Its like somebody who likes to work 2pm-10pm applies to the office job where hours is 8am-7pm and then claims - I am "forced" to work on 8am-5 pm
