I hear you and I totally agree, back to basics - the first 3 episodes ever made will always outclass the 3 new ones in every way atleast in my opinion.
We want the spirit and old feel of star wars back, enough with all the special effect.

JJ thinks flying really close to the ground looks cool! The saber with the cross guards looks silly and more dangerous to the user than useful. The rolling droid reminds me of the cutesy stuff everyone hated in the prequels and remakes. Cute girl.

Yes it is cool flying close to the ground and If I were a fighter pilot I would do the same.
The saber obviously fits a sith lord, why ? They practice the dark magic of the force. No way he will accidently cut himself, otherwise he's not a sith lord.
Get out in the weekend and have some fun, go see a girl or something.
