I don't just make 1k on a car, the last one I sold a made a little over $4k profit on it. Granted that's more rare but when I say 1k, I mean I don't touch a car that I can't make a min of $1k profit.

It's really not a sliding scale as if buying a $2k car profits $1k and then a $4k car profits $2k. It really doesn't work like that as everything depends on what you pay for the car. You basically make your money when you buy it, because that determines what you make when you sell.

I like lower cost stuff in the $2-2.5k range because people whom are trying to buy a car can usually come up with $3 or 4k cash. However the last one I sold was $8,900 and it was a cash sale.

The cars are great for making money, but I really don't want to go through the hassle of getting my dealers license again. I can sell a few cars here and there under the table but to do it consistently, I have to be legal with the dealers license again and that's a bunch of hassle and needless money out of my pocket. I'd rather switch up to something I don't need a dealers license to do.
