When you become a cop no matter what race or gender, you become a member of a gang.
The biggest most well equipped gang in the city. It becomes us verse them, the public.
If you do not come on board as a gang member and follow the unwritten cop rules you will be ostracized by your own and forced out.
People in poor areas know this the best. Who would want to grow up there and become part of the problem.
