You are dealing with a sedative drug and nothing more. Everyone who drinks enjoys the numbing effects of the drug...that is the only reason to take the drug.

Best to just abstain totally if you have a problem with alcohol. Life is best experienced sober when you can feel all of it rather than just some of it after being sedated.
