Being a good guy doesn't mean he was good with money.
Here's an example. There was an NFL player named Rocket Ismail who made a lot of money. He had his dad act as his financial caretaker because he didn't trust strangers and didn't want to get ripped off. His dad got talked into doing a real estate deal that looked good on the outside, but once you dug into it, it was a disaster.His dad din't know what to look for and went ahead with the deal and he lost millions in it.
He's a good guy who loves his son, he just isn't good at investing money.
In Walkers case, based on the article, it sounds like he could have avoided a lot of it. He didn't show up for some court appearances and did other dumb things along the way. Still, a lot of these guys, like lottery winners, think the money will last forever and they suffer from that situation of being very good and successful at one thing so they think they can't lose at anything.
