I don't know how much he spent, but George W Bush spent 879 days on vacation, vs Obama's 150 days. It's no big deal either way though as they don't really hurt the nation. Roosevelt went fishing his reelection to a 3rd term while Britain was under attack by Germany. He spent his time coming up with the Lend-Lease program which aided Britain. Also, presidents pay for their own vacations. Taxpayers pay for the president to keep working, but lodging and meals are extra.

The dow is an average indication. Some people put too much into it, but its still a decent indicator as to the general health of the economy I'd say...

I'm just asking a question, that's all, and of course my opinions are just that - opinions. From my point of view Harper is a weenie. On the US side, Obama seems kinda cool but he seems to hit obstruction no matter what he does or where he goes. All I'm doing is making an observation and asking for clarity by way of a forum post.

Your opinion counts to me. Your opinion is exactly why I post this and other threads. I've discovered that I'm fascinated by politics. I'm no expert in the matter / this is a pubic thread / its a thread about politics / its open to all / so yes of course your opinion counts.

I would agree. To me, Trudeau is too young and too inexperienced. Maybe in 10 years or so but not today, not yet.

See, to me, that seems exactly right. Republicans hate Obama "just because". Mitch McConnell famously said that he wanted to make Obama a 1 term president right after he was elected. Why?
