What makes it so cool, is its not just words on a posting board. You actually have to train hard to finish last place in these types of competitions. Thanks a lot, the mental toughness aspect was one of the most difficult. Having to force your ass out of bed rain or shine and often into bed on a friday/saturday night is a lot harder than it sounds. I also couldn't spar much in BJJ, I didn't want to chance any sort of injury that would sideline me.

haha thanks, I actually signed up today for a race that requires me to fund raise for entry. I just paid the fundraising portion myself so I wouldn't have to bother anyone. I, like many others are tired of people begging for stuff on facebook every 5 minutes.

San Fran has some of the best races out there. I did the alcatraz one in august. I missed out on the lottery for the 2015 'escape to alcatraz' triathlon and I am kind of bummed.
