What you may want to consider doing is getting Adobe Photoshop and then learn how to use it. It's a really powerful program. It has dozens of easy to use tools, but the real trick is knowing how to use each tool, and how to use tools in combination and in a subtle way to achieve the look that you want. When a photo looks over-chopped, you distract the viewer.
