Could not be. Since its independence (1991) Russia was involved into one military conflict only. I'm talking about so-called 5-day war in Georgia. But Russia was not an aggressor. It was a defendant (and
defender for Georgian civilians in Ossetia). Georgia has started a war against Russia first when Russian peacekeepers were attacked and
killed by regular Georgian army. So it was just a response. Georgia was not occupied or so. It just lost the most part most of their army (trained by the US advisers) and military enginery (equipped by the US weapons). I think they've just got a good lesson.
On the other hand, in all those recent wars, I mentioned above, NATO has
always been an aggressor. Feel the difference.
