I touched on it before in this thread. It may seem obvious but there are ALOT of GOOD sites that inundate their sites with absolute garbage to increase their alexa and "worth" when selling through an ad broker (or themselves). It's really quite sucks what sites are doing to turn a buck.
Example:
Last month I also purchased an ad spot from a site EXACTLY in my niche and hitting a really good term on google that I was trying to get the traffic for.
Site performed on the magnitude of 4X worse then the 2000 alexa tube site (totally unrelated to this niche) when comparing click by click. I also couldn't get a home page spot which is where all that good google traffic was.
Why? How could that possibly be. I know the answer, and so do you.
Second reason, at this time, do not have a huge ad budget
But I could likely get it, I just don't want to roll down that avenue. Sites ranking legit in the SERPS, getting tons of organic traffic and just not making much off it should give this site a test run.
Emails are collected first.
If sale does not immediately happen after we start email campaign.
Right now we are getting so many emails that we just keep on emailing till hopefully they join. And it is very, very effective to make sales this way.
