^^^^^ This. Making them laugh is key, to pretty much any age girl. When I got to mid 30s into early 40s, it was WAY easier to pick up girls of ANY AGE, especially since I didn't have an ex wife or baggage. I had my game down, I had my whole life together, knowledge of the world and wisdom, I had resources to enjoy, (money, car, boat, etc..), and I could make them all laugh and have fun, and I'm still in good shape even now. I was dating everything from 19 to 50.
When I was in my 20s I didn't even realize that older guys could pull young girls, or I thought (like the OP), that they were trashy, or not very hot.... when I got older I realized that there is a whole world out there, that I had no idea about, of young hot girls who are totally open and interested in older guys. I also found out that the young girls sometimes don't want the young guys to realize this, because it freaks young guys out, and makes them insecure.
When the OP gets to be older himself, he will realize what's up.... (unless he has no game to begin with, and he lets himself get fat and sloppy, in which case, maybe not
)
