The woman who filed the 2006 lawsuit went to the police one year after the alleged incident, not a decade. Think about all the women in the 70's and 80's who were young actresses trying to make it in show biz and were lured in by Cosby. Its easy for you as a male to say they should have come forward after the incident, but think of how scared they would have felt that no one would have believed them given Cosby's extreme popularity at that time. They might have also felt that coming forward would have ruined any chance they had at becoming successful in their industry.

Beverly Johnson, who came forward just a few days ago, is an icon in the fashion industry and a successful businesswoman, not somebody seeking money. She wasn't raped by Cosby, because she caught him spiking her drink and manage to flee him before she passed out.

As much as I think this story parallels the Lance Armstrong saga, I don't think they'll have similar endings. For a decade, Lance was accused of doping by everyone from teammates, competitors, officials and even friends, but he always denied it and used the legal system to run over anyone who got in his way. His denials and clean tests kept him as popular as ever until he finally caved and admitted it was all a lie and he had been cheating all along.

As the accusations pile up against Cosby, I really can't imagine anything that would propel him to come clean at this stage in his life. I think he'll take the truth to his grave, albeit with a damaged legacy.
