There's only one country on the face of Earth who can say this and that's Israel whose neighbors have repeatedly stated their commitment to bring about the annihilation and disappearance of Israel. Are there Russians who truly believe that the United States goal is the non-existence of the country of Russia? This is ludicrous, there was a brief time where the US could have brought Russia to its knees with nuclear weapons and didn't. What the US wanted was to stop the spread of Communism across the world. It was the US who was threatened, the Communists' credo was that capitalism was evil and that worldwide communist revolution was the end goal.

Russians have been deluded by this demagogue. After the breakup of the Soviet Union Western companies rushed to invest and do business in Russia, not to enslave it, not to rob it of its natural resources.
