It's just another computer (telephone or whatever)
There's nothing special about...
It's not going to save the world...
it's not going to bring in a new era of peace and prosperity...
It's not going to suddenly morph into a holodeck or beam a an android name DATA into your home
Again it's just another computer. Some of these "Apple Fans" get more boogled eyed misty talking about a machine that's going to be obsolete in a year than they do about their own flesh and blood family.
Furthermore Achmed
(no joke) the Arab that owns the computer store down the street from me can build me bigger and better computer for 33% of the cost compared to Apple. When there's a problem with my computer I can telephone Achmed and he answers the phone himself. If he can't talk me through the problem on the phone, then I drop it off the next morning and pick it up late afternoon. 99% of the time he doesn't charge me a dime for the repair. But if he actually has to replace a part, he gives me a great deal on it and the labor.
And surprising for all this GReaT CUstoMEr SErVIce that Achmed gives me... I still don't feel the need to convert to Islam or camp out in front of his store for 3 days.
