50% ! seriously ?

And they pay 25% only...

Suggesting a connection between chargebacks and the program you work with is not necessarily fair to the program or to yourself as it paints a very incomplete picture of what may have happened.

While its true that any program could just have bad content, it's unlikely with partner cash. What you should do instead is look for other connections first. For example:

- Was the name on the credit card female? If so, this is a pretty high risk right there. Did you call the card holder to confirm that the card was made by her, and not someone else like her perv husband?

- Do you happen to know how many times this user visited the website before making a purchase? If it was made on the first visit, this too would be an indicator of potential fraud.

- Were each of these chargebacks made on the same credit card? Or the same credit card holder?

- If not, were each of these chargebacks made by the same user? (Not card holder, but user)? You may be able to determine the user by the IP address, username, email address, etc).

- If not, do they have anything else in common? You already know they had the same referrer... can you see where this user came from?

- If not, were their any technical problems at the time of the purchase which may have caused the user to be unable to get the service he purchased?

- Did you try contacting the customer to ask him why he charged back?

Once you get answers to as much as possible above, contact your or technical rep at the program(s) you promote, exchange info on these sales to get the best picture of the incident(s) possible. Doing so will help you and the program to avoid chargebacks, show you are a responsible affiliate, and save your own account from getting killed.

Good luck!
