Carrying a gun increases risk of getting shot and killed - science-in-society - 06 October 2009 - New Scientist
Overall, Branas's study found that people who carried guns were 4.5 times as likely to be shot and 4.2 times as likely to get killed compared with unarmed citizens. When the team looked at shootings in which victims had a chance to defend themselves, their odds of getting shot were even higher.
Now think of what you are arguing Aaron..
It's pretty common sense to see that owning a gun increases the chance you will be shot by that gun. If you don't own a gun, it's pretty hard to shoot yourself with out one now isn't it? You can't accidendly shoot yourself or someone else if you don't have a gun.
Clear example is the case this topic is about. If the woman wasn't carrying a gun she would be alive right now.
So how can you call that BS?
