I saw this and it's no surprise.
We have a family member hooked on meth and it's been horrible. It's my brother-in-law's wife's son... Him and his wife got into meth and it's destroyed them. The problem was discovered when law enforcement was called to the house for some reason, and discovered their eight kids covered with shit. The kids were removed immediately, and at one point they recovered and got the kids back.... But they cannot support eight kids while working crappy minimum wage jobs, and eventually fell back into it.
Currently the kids are being housed with both sets of grandparents, and both parents are homeless. They have a court date next week and if they fail to show, custody will most likely be given to the grand parents.
This has been going on for about eight years now. It's horrible.
