I'll agree with you there.
If the newspaper had exposed corruption, war crimes, torture, etc. I would be supporting them 100%. But I'm not going to defend someone that was just being a prick for the sake of being a prick. Plus everyone damn well knows the newspaper published the cartoons not for "Freedom of Speech" but to cash in on the controversy and make a dollar.
