I think they realized how impractical it really was for anything other than high end medical procedures, research, or other industries. I hope you are not in a position to loose money on it this time around.
Previously, nobody could deliver a working product or a half witted one for less than a few thousand. Now every major manufacture is either bringing one out in 2015 or working on one that works to release for $500 or less.
This time around it is bigger than smartphones.
Go demo a Samsung Gear VR and tell us that again.
