Have you noticed the new "Mobile Usability" in Google Webmaster Tools? or how Google bots are looking for mobile redirection along with different mobile elements in the past few updates? Google is specifically crawling websites looking for how the pages show up on mobile devices so they're catching redirects (whether it's scripts or redirecting via other methods to a whole different page) and doing manual actions. They were doing that before obviously but they started hardcore implementing it in the past few months and I imagine it will continue with the next updates - and that's why Markul is giving you a heads up.
