All I said was I thought it was a bad idea because he made a valid point which I considered on its merit alone which is that it again causes offence and will be used as fuel for fire and no doubt terrorist recruitment purposes. But sure I never thought these cartoons were a good idea.... even though I've never seen the cartoons - I'm sure they serve no useful purpose and there must be 1000's of better things to joke about. If you had an equivalent publication in the muslim world joking about jews (whatever the background) and with context to their ethnic/religious background they might be offended too. I'm not agreeing with the attacks - just ask what is the point?
