There are traditional English Fish n Chip places in Canada but a lot less than they're used to be, when I was a kid Canada was a whole different place, tons of English and Scottish immigrants, so many adults had accents, especially retail workers, seemed like everybody who worked in a department store had a Scottish accent.
The snack food you call 'crisps' are just 'chips' or 'potato chips' here. Canada invented many of the flavors - my American relatives would come to visit and became Salt n Vinegar potato chips, they'd never seen them before. For years we'd send them to them until finally America had them.
