The past two winners for best Director were Spanish and Chinese. There's plenty of non-white in Hollywood, Al just sees a money making opportunity so he's going to jump on it.

So 90% of the time, blacks are nominated in any of these three areas. This is twice in 20 years that a black hasn't been nominated, but Sharpton is "appalled".

One of the director nominees is Mexican. Last I checked, they're not white.
