The general take on melting pot for most Americans, and how I see it, is a non segregated society where my black neighbors, or neighbors of any ethnicity/sexual orientation, can live in my neighborhood without prejudice. Everyone has a unique background, we're all Americans. Divide and conquor will always be the MO for people wanting to make a buck on our minute differences as human beings. Gonna be like that for a few hundred more years probably
