one should always spend a bit more for a chair that you have to work on of course and I use a pretty good one here at the office but in most cases any lower back pain isn't caused from the design of your chairs as much as it is the muscle break down that happens from continuous sitting or laying down. Short of joining a gym or getting too into your workout i would suggest some squats and lunges every day or so, even with just body weight. This will help build up the stabilizer muscles fairly well. It's not something that can be fixed with just walking alone. I have had lower back pain often over the years and every time i get it its almost always come at times where i am not going to they gym regularly, where i do those movements often.

just some preventative measures anyway.
