Sorry for bumping your old post, but what did you want to say there? Ukrainians are not Russians anymore or what? The Ukraine as a country exists since 1991 only. All the time before it was just a part of Soviet Union and Russian Empire. Just like Dresden citizens are so Germans as the ones from Berlin. Don't confuse citizens of Russian Federation with ethnic Russians. Ukrainians and Belorussians are ethnic Russians but they live in independent countries. On the other hand, Chechens or Finno-Ugric people are Russian citizens, but they are not Russians (I mean the ethnicity). When speaking of the USSR times, your statement loses any sense at all, because all Soviet republics were included into the USSR. So both Korolev's parents were from Russian Empire - not from Russian Federation or Ukraine.
