There are plenty. That crossover happened decades ago.
25% of new HIV infections are heterosexual people. 66% of those infections are straight women, the other 33% are straight men.
F2M sexual transmission is less common, but still far from impossible.
It's just not openly discussed. HIV in the gay population is discussed because it became an epidemic and the only real research going into it in the beginning was coming from private funding (i.e., all of those AIDS Foundation fundraisers). The stigma is gone.
