I discovered it on a travel video that happen to catch my eye on weather.com and the text said "You won't believe what's inside this former Nazi hanger". It caught my eye because I love the WWII stuff.
The video says "This hanger was built in 1938 by the Nazis to house enormous airships". It makes sense because the Nazis had airships, and the Nazis love to build things HUGE.

No matter who built it... It's freaking awesome. The pictures don't seem to do it justice - you could fit the Statue of Liberty in it.
