The wealth disparity in Canada is considerably lower in Canada than the US.
Like somebody above me said those income amounts are the average of the top 1%, the mean average income would be lower than the average, you have super wealthy people in the US. I know in Canada to make the top 1% of annual incomes you only need to make about $190K, that would be the bottom people of the top 1% group and I think in the US the figure I saw was around $300K to make the very bottom of the top 1% - so in both countries that would be a lot of professionals - doctors, lawyers, accountants etc - and small business owners.
Maybe I'm wrong about the 'mean' being lower than the average - I really do suck at math.
