My parents would take us on summer nights, this was way before the casino, I loved how tacky Clifton Hill was, the smell of the Falls mixed with the smell of white trash was intoxicating.
All there was back then was the Skylon Tower, Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, Ripley's Museum, the souvenir shops and food joints. Oh, and the Fallsway Hotel had a miniature golf course, the only one I knew of in the Niagara area.
Driving around the residential streets, some beautiful Victorian homes I remember.
What I missed out on was the heyday of Crystal Beach, our family photos and 8mm movies have a lot of Crystal Beach in them, most of the people in them were dead by the time I came around.
