I'm mostly interested in the "average" citizen's experience. For example, when I travel to the middle of the U.S., it's pretty depressing and boring, but sometimes nice to look at. When you're going through a "regular" day, do you drive by burning refuse (I assume not), or is it pretty much like a European city? I really have no idea, geographically, either, what the norms are. I assume Moscow is quite different from border cities or war zones.
