I watched it and wasn't as bothered by what I saw as I was by the idea that his loved ones need to live with the graphic reality that he died so horribly. Dying by fire is something I can imagine, as horrible as it may be. living with the pain caused by the loss of a loved one like that? unfathomable

I'm disturbed by how often I agree with/enjoy your posts (since you're kinda warped, take that as the compliment I know you will)
but yeah, ish like this is the worst of us. not 'them', all of us. Setting a captive on fire, dropping state-sanctioned bombs and executing prisoners in response; it's all horrific, and each act ultimately causes the same pain to those who have to live with it.
it's all part of the same misery we all inflict upon each other. Originating long ago, and concerned primarily over power and control of resources. Greed, a lust for power and religion (aka the combination of both the former), that will be our demise
ultimately we are a miserable species. it's crazy to me though, that we're also capable of such generosity, kindness, warmth. ish like this makes it hard for me to rationalize my life as I experience it vis a vis what I read in the papers, and it makes me realize how lucky and privileged I am, in every way
tl;dr the video was horrific, and people suck. if you watch it and can't relate realize how fucking lucky you are
